Ember

The fire within me is building,
engulfing me with a heated lick.

My thoughts of you are bewildering.

The days pass by with emotions tender,
treading through the times, longing.

Pain as my feet are touching ember.

I dream of us in a joyful dance,
embracing our love with silence.

Understanding you with a glance.

I imagine seeing your shining face,
igniting a sparkling smile from within.

You make my heated heart race.

The journey is soon closing to an end,
with reality replacing our fantasies.

And my wounds can finally mend.
